Item Processing Charge (APC) Policy

Sapiens in Health Sciences (SHS) operates under a Diamond Open Access publishing model, under which no Article Processing Charges (APCs) or any other publication-related fees are imposed on authors at any stage of the editorial process.

The journal does not charge fees for:

  • Manuscript submission.
  • Initial editorial assessment.
  • Peer review.
  • Copyediting and language editing.
  • Typesetting and production services.
  • Article publication.
  • DOI assignment.
  • Digital preservation.
  • Access to, consultation of, or downloading published content.

All manuscripts are evaluated exclusively on the basis of their scientific quality, originality, academic relevance, methodological rigor, and alignment with the journal’s scope, without any financial considerations influencing editorial decisions.

Sapiens in Health Sciences is committed to open, equitable, and inclusive scholarly communication, promoting the removal of financial barriers for authors, researchers, health professionals, academic institutions, and readers worldwide.

The journal’s editorial, technological, and administrative operations are supported through institutional resources and sustainability mechanisms that allow the publication to remain free of charge for both authors and readers.

The review, acceptance, editing, and publication of manuscripts are conducted with full editorial independence. No source of funding, sponsorship, institutional partnership, or external support influences editorial decisions, which are based exclusively on academic merit, scientific quality, ethical standards, and editorial criteria.
